Belle, from Beauty and the Beast, knew exactly what she was talking about when she sang, “I want adventure in the great wide somewhere/I want it more than I can tell.” For many of us, we dream of the day our passport will be filled with stamps from our foreign adventures, the stories we’ll tell of our long-awaited ventures into the great unknown, and the lure of spontaneous thrills. We’ve gathered a list of our favorite must-see destinations from every continent, so be sure to check these out as you embark on your global adventure!

Jane Austen Suit, England

Jane Austen was one of the most influential novelists during the eighteenth century, and her works continue to be analyzed today. See where the “Pride and Prejudice” author drew her inspiration from by visiting the Jane Austen Suit. Not only is there a realistic wax figure of her, but the entire exhibit is modeled after her own home in Bath.

Djemaa el Fna, Morocco

The name, which means ‘assembly of the dead’, is nothing but. The city is filled with life and reminiscent of the contagious African culture that’s encouraged tourists’ visits for years. Henna artists give tattoos to the willing; snake charmers entice even the most scared soul; and everywhere you turn, there is a blend of African tradition that is unlike any other. In the evening, natives perform an elaborate performance complete with one hundred chefs.

Silver Pagoda, Cambodia

The Silver Pagoda is a jewel in the heart of Cambodia. Inside its decorated walls lie enormous historical treasures that you can’t help but admire. The temple boasts beautiful gold and silver Buddha statues, including one decorated with over nine thousand diamonds. Talk about accessorizing correctly!

Bering Land Bridge, United States

While there are thousands of places to explore in the United States, Alaska has an incredible tribute to the Native American people. During the last Ice Age, the water level of the oceans fell, exposing a land bridge called the Bering Land Bridge. As a result, many people were able to migrate from Asia to Alaska. Archeologists have even found artifacts from over 9,000 years ago!

General Lavalle, Argentina

Music lovers, unite, because this is a sight you won’t believe! There are a lot of forests in Argentina – but something tells us that a guitar-shaped forest would definitely stand out. The story has it that Graciela Yraizoz, wife to a young rancher, loved to play the guitar. Unfortunately, at the age of 25, she passed away from a brain aneurysm, and thus the guitar-shaped forest was upheld in her honor.

Paradise Bay, Antarctica

If you can brave the cold, Antarctica offers an unparalleled frozen fantasy. While many are unable to visit for a long period of time, due to weather extremities, Paradise Bay offers one-on-one time with penguins, sightseeing, and an entirely new cultural experience. If you can fly to Antarctica, you won’t regret the trip!

Adelaide, Australia

Visit Australia’s first settle colony, Adelaine! Adelaine is proud of its history-breaking stance, from importing Australia’s first wine (1845) to being an encouragement for women's’ involvement in politics. Adelaine is home to a variety of cultural festivals, including Glendi (Greek) and Schutzenfest (Germany)!
