Get buying some cucumbers. Cucumber is really effective for treating loads of different eye issues, and you can use it to help with sore eyes. Stick them in ice water for no more than 10 minutes and you can add those cucumber slices to your closed eyelids. Keep them there for at least 10 minutes and then flip them over.
Splash your eyes with cold water. If this doesn’t work straightaway, you can wrap ice cubes in a clean, cotton towel. This will enable you to stand the cold when you put them against your eyelids. You don’t have to have your eyes open to benefit from splashing your eyes with cold water.
Slap on some bread. It sounds a bit bizarre, but cold bread can work really well and treat sore eyes. All you need are two slices of bread and placed them on your eyes much in the way you would with the cucumbers. You can get rid of itchy eyelids and eyelid inflammation as well with this natural home remedy.
Invest in some castor oil. If you’re looking for treatment for sore eyes, castor oil from the pharmacy can help. A drop of castor wheel with 2 to 3 drops of oil on each of the eyes can help. It’s an easy way to remedy the sore eyes at home without having to go and see your eye doctor.
See the eye doctor. Speaking of eye doctors, taking yourself to an appointment to see your eye doctor is the smartest thing that you can do if you have sore eyes. You may have scratched cornea, or you might have a different issue that isn’t involved with staying up too late or having insomnia.
Chill down some spoons. If your eyes are swollen because of soreness, a chill spoon placed over your eyes can really help. When the spoon starts to lose its chill but you can switch it with another child speed. This will help to bring down the inflammation and swelling in your eye, and help with the pain.
