EYE HEALTH

We often take our eyesight for granted, but when you think about it the very act of seeing visible light in the world is an incredible feature of being alive. This is not something we should take for granted, on the contrary we should protect it and value it.

If you wear glasses or contact lenses you may be more careful with your eyesight in general. You know when and how to use your eye technology to keep them healthy. For the rest of us, it's important to have regular checks at the optometrist to identify any potential problems. One thing your optometrist may do is suggest Lasik surgery to improve your eyesight. If that’s the case, and you go through the procedure, make sure to take care of your eyes during the post Lasik surgery recovery period. It’ll certainly be worth it!

EAR HEALTH

Your ears are like tiny little machines that operate inside your head without your knowledge. They are always on, always working to transform the sound waves from your environment into electrical signals for your brain to interpret. It's pretty cool, but like any little machine they need maintenance.

It's well known that using earwigs to clean the wax out of your ears is damaging for them. It actually pushes the wax further into your ears and threatens the thin layer of skin called the eardrum. Instead use drops of olive oil regularly to prevent hearing loss and cognitive decline.

DENTAL HEALTH

Teeth have evolved to mechanically chew and break down food that can then be processed by the digestive system more easily. This is the case with most animals including humans. When you consider that many animals die as a result of broken teeth and problem teeth, it's easy to see their importance.

They are no less important or significant for humans. We might be able to survive broken teeth where other animals would not but problem teeth can still affect your daily lives and cause us unnecessary distress. Avoid problems with your teeth by brushing twice a day and visiting your dentist for checkups

JOINT HEALTH
The human body is made up of three parts, the skeleton, the muscles, and the life force energy. The skeleton is the most fundamental material part of a human being and is usually the first part to decline in later life. The fluid connecting the joints starts to dry up and the bones grind together causing pain and reduced motion.

There are ways of alleviating these pains and aches when they occur but the best approach is to prevent it from happening. You can prevent joint deterioration by eating the right foods and taking yoga classes to keep your physical body supple and in a winning condition.

MUSCLE HEALTH

Muscles are like AI algorithms that learn for their environment and adapt to suit it. That's right they have a life of their own l but they're on your side and will respond to the choices you make. If you decide to hit the game and lift weight your muscles will become strong and you feel fitter and have more energy.

Conversely if you don't use them for their specified purpose they will learn that they are no longer required and start to atrophy. As your muscles disappear in this way you will also feel yourself losing strength and energy.
