Yes, it is true that alcohol can help you get off to sleep more quickly, but the reality is that you'll probably wake up a couple of hours later anyway. You'll find that alcohol actually makes it a lot harder to sleep through the night properly. In the same way that you avoid caffeine before bed, try to steer clear of alcohol before bed as much as you can. Staying hydrated is the best thing that you can do if you want to sleep through the night as peacefully as possible.

The snooze button is only ever going to make you feel even worse and potentially ruin your sleep schedule. When your alarm goes off, get straight up and make sure your hand never even goes near that snooze button.
