The Challenge of Being a Mom

Are you making plans for a baby? You may be wondering what awaits you and whether you will be able to cope with the challenge of being a mother. As a mother of two boys, I can tell you all about the difficulties and moments of happiness that I went through.

Baby Plan

Do not think that the baby will come just when you want. Sometimes it comes unexpectedly and very often you are completely unprepared to face a new life or go a long way before embracing your baby. The important thing is to be calm and the miracle will happen. I had been waiting for my first son for two years and was already thinking that I should see a doctor when one day I saw a positive pregnancy test. It was one of the happiest moments of my life. My second son surprised me two years later.

Pregnancy

This is a beautiful period during which big changes take place in your body and you are too sensitive. You have a great appetite for strange foods, strong emotions, and get tired easily. My pregnancy went quite normally and I sincerely enjoyed the growing belly. Don't worry about gaining weight, but still be careful with food, because in the last months of pregnancy it will be extremely difficult for you to move. I used special oils and managed to prevent the appearance of stretch marks.

The Birth

It's a little hard to imagine that a real little person will come out of your belly, but that's a fact. Get ready for strong and unforgettable emotions, tears of joy, and euphoria. It's really worth waiting 9 months.

The Difficulties

Where do I start? Life takes you in a whole new direction, everything you encounter you have to learn on the go. Because, no matter how many books you read, your baby has his own character and preferences and grows and develops completely individually. Colic will keep you awake for long hours at night, and you will use various noise techniques such as a hairdryer or vacuum cleaner to soothe your baby's stomach. Next is breastfeeding, changing baby diapers, the first steps achieved after a lot of effort, building habits, and, of course, a house in complete chaos with painted walls. But the most difficult moments for me were the periods when my children were sick, and this often happened because of the low immunity that children have. It made me so helpless and scared. Over time, I realized that all of these difficulties are, in fact, normal trials for any parent that teaches us to be patient.

Happy Moments

The happy moments never end. Your child is your whole world with his laughter, big eyes, and constant questions. The word "mom" makes you the strongest woman in the world, even though you will hear it many times a day. It is not easy to be a mother, but children's hugs are the warmest and most sincere and make you forget about all the mischief they have done in your home. Your children teach you to enjoy the little joys of life and to relive your childhood. They are your future and hope. Just love them.
