As we get into the autumn season the weather begins to change. We get more rain grey clouds and darker days. This does mean that the fun has to stop. You can have lots of fun indoors or outdoors on rainy days to make autumn memories together. Here are some quick and easy ideas that are fun for all of the family.
Baking Treats
Baking is a great thing to do on a rainy day as it can be incorporated into so many other elements of autumn. Comfort food is a big thing when the weather gets colder say by making some delicious treats at home you can enjoy them in the comfort of your own home. They’re also great for a movie night or to pack up for an autumn picnic. There are so many different things you can try like rice crispy squares, brownies, cookies and even something like pumpkin banana bread to embrace the autumnal mood.
Board Games
Something that used to pass the time for a lot of people which is now a rainy day occurrence is board games. They aren’t played as much as they used to be but they’re still just as fun. There are different types of board games for different ages and interests. There are things like cobble hill jigsaw puzzles, operation for kids, and scrabble for kids and adults, and then something like articulate which is more focused on adults. Scrabble is a great game for all as it helps with literacy, quick thinking and making words up out of the lessons that you have. You can still have a simple craft afternoon where you just get some paints crayons and big pieces of paper out and let your kids imagination run wild. You may also find some great new pieces to put on the fridge and display.
Declutter The House
Why not use a rainy day stuck in the house to be productive and help your house look better. Choose a room and get a bin bag ready to Declutter and get rid of anything you no longer use or want.
