Snow Culture: Have fun!

If you're on the East coast of the United States, then you have definitely been getting hit with snow storm after snow storm. On the miraculous occasion when you do have a snow day, you should do everything in your power not to waste it! Here are some fun things to do on your day off.

Get organized.

Okay, okay. This may not be the most fun thing that you can do on your day off, but just think about the possibility of cleaning out the clutter from underneath your bed or for putting your clothes in the correct drawers. Maybe even put that book shelf in alphabetical order by author! Who knows? The snow day gives the perfect opportunity to do these little projects that will get you organized.

Drink lots of hot chocolate.

Or tea. Or apple cider. Snow days are for making YOU feel happy, so try out some Chinese or Indonesian teas that you may otherwise not try, or whip out some European apple cider. Keep yourself warm and toasty, with your taste buds happy!

Read a whole book (or entire movie).

Now here's the tricky part. Read a whole book or watch an entire movie without the distraction of the Internet. It is infinitely more important to disconnect from social media by reading than it is to post a status that you're reading. Take some time for yourself and don't get caught up in how other people are spending their day off!

Her Culture magazine? I think yes!

You have a full 24-hours to do whatever you want. Why not make that culure-filled? Read up on Valentine's Day traditions across the globe or about Women's History Month. There's so much in our current issue that you're sure to love!

The bottom line: Make today an awesome one. In addition to going outside and making the best snowman ever created, take some time for yourself to enjoy what you love. Most important - don't stress! There's always time for work tomorrow.
