Could You Be Healthier? Ask Yourself These Simple Questions

It turns out that we are not as healthy as we might think. We may have the very best intentions when it comes to our lifestyle. But, of course, there are always underlying circumstances that cause us to not be as healthy as we initially think we are. Work can get stressful. Life can get in the way, and we can often feel at a loss as t how to handle situations that cause us stress and anxiety. Which in turn, causes us to reach for the convenience or take the comfort over intention. I wanted to share with you some of the questions you could ask yourself to determine if you could be a little healthier when it comes to your choices.

Are you exercising enough?

Exercise is a proven method of feeling good about ourselves. It gets those endorphins pumped around your body and is a proven method to alleviate stress and depression. However, do you do it enough? It is recommended that people have some form of activity of thirty minutes a day. That could be a walk, a run, a workout or just dancing around your kitchen to your favourite song. If you don’t do it enough figure out ways you can fit in even the smallest of activity in your bus schedule.

Are you eating the right things?

The next thing to consider would be whether or not you are eating the right things. We can all be guilty of reaching for the convenience every now and again, and often this can be a really bad indication of your overall diet. Too much junk and sugar might give you a quick energy boost, but then the come down can be far greater.

Have you developed bad habits?

Your habits that you develop can be unhealthy if done for prolonged periods of time. Drinking too much alcohol, for example, or reaching for that glass of wine more than you should could indicate that you are reliant on alcohol and this can have a negative impact on your health. The same can be said for smoking, which we are all aware of the health concerns that go along with it, so making a healthier choice and trying something like vaping could be the step in the right direction. Things like scientists and state laws on vaping are changing, so it can be an easier way to break bad habits. Often making the choice for change is the thing you need to implement new habits.

Could you work on your mindset more?

Your mind is a powerful tool, and so you may want to think about working on your mindset more and having a more positive approach to life in general. This could be as significant as changing your thought process, or using more positive language in your day to day conversation. There is more online on what you can do to change your overall mindset from negative to positive.

Finally, always give yourself time to rest and enjoy the slower pace in life. This can often give you the time to recuperate from a tough day or general stress and anxiety in your life.
