Give Some Love To The Underrated American States

America is, as probably always will be, a magnet for travelers and tourists. And there’s good reason for that. After all, it's the kind of place with so many things to see and do that the idea of being able to experience it all is near impossible. Even people who live in the US often find themselves discovering corners of it that they never imagined that they would find. Of course, if you keep going back to the same places over and over again, you're never going to be able to see all that this amazing country has to offer. With that in mind, here are a few underrated states that deserve your attention.

New York

Now, I know what you're thinking. You're thinking that New York can't possibly be on this list since New York City is one of the most famous and popular destinations in the world. Well, the truth is that outside of the city so good they named it twice, there are plenty of places in New York state that go tragically ignored. Places like Schenectady, a beautiful city with plenty of history and a whole lot of things to do and see that often flies under the radar. Getting a room in a hotel near Union College in Schenectady, New York gives you the chance to explore this amazing city as well as giving you access to the rest of the state. Sure, the Big Apple is great, but this state has so much more to offer.

Utah

Utah is not likely to be one of the places that immediately springs to mind when it comes to finding a vacation destination. However, it's one of the best places that you can visit if you're looking for a chance to get away from it all and experience some truly incredible landscapes. From beautiful blue skies to towering mountains, Utah is the kind of place where you can go and really reconnect with the world around you.

Oregon

Much like New York, Oregon is known for the jewel in its crown: Portland. And, Portland is a pretty amazing place. Constantly on the cutting edge of modern culture, Portland is the perfect place for young people to throw themselves into the city life and experience all of the highs and lows that come with it. However, the rest of the state is just a compelling, if for different reasons. Again, if you're looking to get out on the world, you really cannot go wrong with all of Oregon's amazing mountains and hiking trails.

Now, none of this is to say that there's anything wrong with visiting the same place over and over again. After all, it's your life and your vacation and you should be able to spend it however you want. However, trying out some new and underrated places could well lead to you finding somewhere that you fall in love with and decide to keep going back to. Fortune favors the bold and if you just keep going with the obvious options, you're just going to end up getting bored.
