Nostalgic Cartoons To Rewatch

We all grew up with cartoons, but I’m still a firm believer that they are some of the most enjoyable shows I’ve seen. They make the perfect background noise or pick me up at the end of a long day. Here are some of my favorite cartoons from my childhood that I love to rewatch, and maybe some you can check out if you’ve never seen them. I guarantee they are extremely enjoyable to pass the time with.

Totally Spies!

If you haven’t seen Totally Spies!, you are seriously missing out. It’s about three undercover agents named Sam, Clover, and Alex who have to deal with international evil and foreign affairs while juggling their average high school problems. Every episode has a new compelling crime they have to solve. I grew up with this show, and now I love to rewatch it for some of that good old nostalgia. Not to mention their outfits are always on point.

Danny Phantom

I’m going ghost! Danny Phantom was always one of my favorites because of the unique storylines and the character designs. This cartoon is about a boy who becomes half-ghost and hunts down other phantoms with his best friends. This one in particular is my favorite to put on when I do other things, but it never gets boring.

Total Drama

This is one of my favorite shows ever. It’s a huge comfort to rewatch because I know exactly what happens and can quote it forwards and backwards. There are multiple seasons, but my favorite is always the first, “Total Drama Island,” about teens who enter a survivor-like competition. On top of it all, the show still makes me laugh because it’s genuinely funny.

6TEEN

6TEEN is one of the biggest sources of my nostalgia. It’s about teenagers who get jobs at the mall and deal with its daily antics. This is another funny one on the list, and it makes me laugh constantly. Honestly, I mostly rewatch it to relive my childhood and because it reminds me of some of my best times when I was younger.

Kim Possible

How could you not love Kim Possible? I love this show so much. It’s another one about a teen who defeats villains and deals with the average problems any high school student would have. This was my entire childhood and even if you haven’t seen it, I’d definitely recommend it because it always makes for a fun watch.

My Life as a Teenage Robot

This is about a robot named Jenny whose purpose is to protect the planet, except she just wants to be a normal teenager. I grew up watching this with my cousins and my sister, and it is a huge throwback to my past. It was such a fun show and reliving it is like stepping into a time machine.

Martin Mystery

This was one of my favorites as a kid. I can still recall full episodes in detail. It’s a sci-fi/fantasy animated show that focuses on a team fighting monsters and mind tricks. It even used to scare me as a kid because some of the episodes get pretty creepy, but it’s another one that kicks my nostalgia into high gear.

Avatar the Last Airbender

I saved the best for last! I don’t even consider this show on the same level, but it’s definitely one of the best shows I’ve ever seen, let alone one of the best animated shows. The character development is incredible, the plot is fleshed out and compelling, and I could rewatch this show multiple times without ever getting tired of it. I think I speak for many when I say this show is amazing, and definitely worth a watch if you have never seen it before. This not only brings me back to my childhood, but to other times in my life when I’ve rewatched it. I feel like I grew up with this show for years and it means so much to me.
