Relax In The Great Outdoors With These Tips
Right now, heading outside is hard. Depending on where you are in the world, much of it is still locked down or fun things are seriously restricted because of the global Coronavirus pandemic. It’s hard - you want to get out and blow off some steam, but you’re not allowed because of the government rules. This ramps up the stress levels for a lot of people rather than takes it down, and that can be exceptionally difficult to deal with.
Relaxation is so important. As human beings, we are living a life in the fast lane - especially with technology being so prevalent in our lives. It’s hard to unplug and unwind when we have screens and magic headphones shoved under our noses all the time. However, that doesn't mean you’re not allowed to go outside at all. There are plenty of things that you are allowed to continue to do outside, and exercise is one of them. Let’s take a look at a few of the ways that you can relax in the great outdoors right now.
Chase The Sunrise. You may never have considered it to be a thing that you do, but getting up early in the morning purely to chase the sunrise and get a good view of the world waking up is so important for your health. It’s not always easy to leave the house and take advantage of your surroundings, but it’s going to be the best thing to do - especially when you are socially distanced. No one is likely to be around at 5am as the sun rises, are they?
Go Fishing. Fishing is a skill and a hobby that requires time in the quiet, so the likelihood of you finding people around you when you are learning the art of bass fishing is highly unlikely. You need to figure out how you plan to relax in nature, and fishing gives you something to do with your hands while you are out there in the world.
Go For A Walk. Getting outside is one thing, but finding a local trail or a preserve to go for a walk lets you truly burn off some steam. You can click on a podcast and let the words wash over you as you walk, and it’ll help you to get your NEAT up, too!
Sit On The Beach. Another one for late evening or early morning - social distancing, people! Sitting on the beach or on a cliff opposite the beach will help you to relax as you listen to the sounds of the ocean. You can time your breathing to the ocean to relax, too.
Take Up Yoga. Yoga outside can be more beneficial to you than yoga inside the house. You can take a class and find a quiet spot to practice on the grass outside. You can bring friends and make it a regular thing that you do together, and pack a picnic for afterwards, too!
Engaging with nature is the way to go when you are looking for ways to relax. Start with these, and go from there.
