The Cosmos of Psychology: Unleash the Power Within

A man was passing by the roadside where he saw an elephant tied to a tiny wooden log with a small rope. He suddenly stopped and was stunned to see such a majestic animal, who could easily break free from that rope, standing there submissively, eating the grass. The man, unable to control his inquisitiveness, went to the mahout and asked him about the circumstance. The mahout replied — “ I used to tie him with this rope when he was young, as he grew up he was conditioned to believe that he could not break away from this rope. He believes that the rope can still hold him, so he never tries to break free.”

The man was amazed, the animal could at any time break free from his bonds, but because he believed that he could not, he was stuck where he was. It was his psychology that kept him from improving his condition. Similarly, we humans, the best creation of God, keep ourselves restricted to limits created by our past, our failures, other people's opinions, and whatnot. We live a life to impress others and to fit in the acceptable norms of society. But I ask why? We are born free and have the right to live our lives as we think it to be fit.

Today, the average high school kid shows the same level of anxiety as the average psychiatric patient in the 1950s. Why do you think this is so? Because they are laden with the burden of performance, marks and grades as our education does not test our intelligence, it tests our memory. People between the ages of 18 and 33 have maximum stress levels be it financial, social, and/or familial problems.

But then who is going to rectify all this — no Doraemon, no gadgets, no avengers, no fairy godmother. Just you and your mind. People below you will always try to pull you down. It is you who has to be resilient, it is you who has to take control of yourself.

Ever heard of the law of attraction and the power of your subconscious mind? Our minds are very powerful- we can invent, create, experience and destroy only with our thoughts. Simply put, the Law of Attraction is our ability to attract into our lives whatever we are focusing on. It is regardless of age, nationality or religious belief, we are all receptive to the Law of Attraction. It is the Law of Attraction that uses the power of our thoughts to translate our psychology and materialize it into reality. In basic terms, all thoughts turn into reality eventually. If you focus on negative doom and gloom you will always remain under that cloud. You will find a way to achieve thoughts and goals that you aim to reach with massive action. Very few people are fully aware of how much of an impact the Law of Attraction has on their day to day life. Whether we are doing it knowingly or unknowingly, every second of our existence, we are acting as human magnets sending out our thoughts and emotions and attracting back more of what we have put out.

Unfortunately, so many of us are still blind to the potential that is locked deep within us. Consequently, it is all too easy to leave your thoughts and emotions unchecked. This sends out the wrong thoughts and attracts more unwanted emotions and events into your life. Hundreds of years ago the Law of Attraction was first thought to have been taught to man by the immortal Buddha. It is believed he wanted it to be known that ‘what you have become is what you have thought’. This is a belief that is deeply intrinsic in the Law of Attraction. With the spread of this concept to western culture also came the term ‘Karma’-a belief that is popular throughout numerous societies.

A great many women and men who have left their mark on this world have shown the Law of Attraction to be one of the greatest powers on earth; with many well-loved poets, artists, scientists and great thinkers such as Shakespeare, Blake, Emerson, Newton and Beethoven all conveying this message through their many works. There have been many modern advocates of The Law Of Attraction including Oprah Winfrey, Jim Carrey, and Denzel Washington.

Coming to the power of your subconscious mind, try a simple trick tonight before you sleep. Tell your pillow to wake you up, at suppose 6:00 a.m., the next morning. You will see the results the next morning when you wake up exactly at the same time. The gut feeling that you get every time is caused by the same subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind is like a huge memory bank. Its capacity is unlimited. It permanently stores everything that ever happens to you. Its job is to ensure that you respond exactly the way you are programmed. Your subconscious mind makes everything you say and do fit a pattern consistent with your self-concept. All your habits of thinking and acting are stored in your subconscious mind. It has memorized all of your comfort zones and it works to keep you in them. It causes you to feel emotionally and physically uncomfortable whenever you attempt to do anything new or different. It goes against changing any of your established patterns of behavior.

You can feel your subconscious pulling you back toward your comfort zone each time you try something new. Even thinking about doing something different from what you’re accustomed to will make you feel uneasy and tense. One of the biggest habits of successful men and women are always stretching themselves out of their comfort zones. They know that arrogance is the greatest enemy of creativity and future possibilities. To wrap up I would give you the single most powerful advice ever — Attract what you expect, reflect what you desire, become who you respect and mirror what you admire. The mind is the limit, as long as the mind can envision it and as long as you believe in it, you can certainly do it. And, as the expert says -

“Give no one in all the world the power to deflect you from your goal, your aim in life, which is to express your hidden talents to the world, to serve humanity, and to reveal more and more of God’s wisdom, truth, and beauty to all people in the world. Remain true to your ideal. Know definitely and absolutely that whatever contributes to your peace, happiness, and fulfillment must of necessity bless all men who walk the earth. The harmony of the part is the harmony of the whole, for the whole is in the part, and the part is in the whole. All you owe the other, as Paul says, is love, and love is the fulfilling of the law of health, happiness, and peace of mind.” ― Joseph Murphy, The Power of Your Subconscious Mind.
