A Guide To Packing Your Suitcase

If you are lucky enough to be going on holiday anytime soon, then one of the biggest challenges you’ll face is packing.

There is no need to stress about it though because here are some great tips for packing your suitcase.

Get The Right Case

Think about the distance that you’ll need to carry your case. Get one with wheels. Get the type that spins 360 degrees ideally as these are a doddle to move around the airport.

Think about the weight of the case. The heavier the case, the less you’ll be able to pack. Your case needs to be both lightweight and spacious.

At the same time, think about the way that the baggage handlers in the airport chuck cases. Get one that is durable.

Make A List

Before you do anything else, make a list of everything you’ll need. Your list may be long, but you can always cut it down later.

Get All Of Your Items Together

Gather up all of your items such as clothes, toiletries and curling wand, and put them all together. Don’t pack them quite yet.

Give Yourself Plenty Of Time

Start the process of packing a few days before your vacation. That way, if there is anything that you’ve forgotten, you’ve got time to remember it.

The longer that you give yourself, the better. You don’t want to do everything in a rush.

Don’t Go Overboard With Accessories

Pack one handbag or maybe two that will match all of your outfits. Don’t fill your case with handbags or other bulky accessories. You should also try and make do with just a couple of pairs of shoes and make sure that you travel wearing the biggest, heaviest pair.

Roll, Don’t Fold

There are two types of people on this planet, there are those that waste their time folding clothing to try and squeeze it into their case, only to find that it doesn’t fit. Then, there are people that roll their clothes and get them all in.

Of course, there will be the odd item that shouldn’t be rolled. If it’s a precious item go ahead and fold it, however, for tees and tops and many dresses you can roll away.

Use Cubes

Inside your case, you should use packing cubes. Cubes are a great way of separating out all of your items neatly. You can have a cube for clothes, a cube for accessories, and a cube for toiletries.

Put Your Shoes In The Case First

If you are not using cubes, put your bulkiest items such as shoes into your case first them squeeze your clothes and toiletries around them.

Weigh Your Case

Once everything is packed, weigh it using a reliable weighing scale. The last thing that you’ll want is to get to the airport and find you need to pay extra for your luggage to get through.

Take Things Out

If your case is overweight, take things out now. Remove items that you have several choices of.
