Scholarship Opportunities High School Students Should Take Advantage Of

College is ridiculously expensive and data indicates that tuition prices are unfortunately increasing. As a result, it’s probably a good idea to start looking at scholarship opportunities in order to alleviate some of the cost of higher education. Contrary to popular belief, you do not have to be a 4.0 student with an abundance of extracurriculars to be considered for a scholarship. In fact, different scholarships have different criteria. Some will completely overlook your grades and evaluate you based on an essay while others, for example, will require you to submit a video. Many awards also cater to students coming from an underrepresented or lower socioeconomic background. You just have to do some research and apply to those which are a good fit for you.
