Hachiko's Story Continues Today
Maybe you, like me, have cried a lot about the movie about Hachiko, the dog that has been waiting for his deceased friend for 10 years, every day.
The admiration for the endless love of an animal still amazes me. I have rarely seen such devotion between people. From my own experience, I can say that animals are are strongly and infinitely committed to humans, because we are their whole world. It is depends on us whether they will be happy, whether we will give them food and love.
Now I will tell you about other stories, similar to those of Hachiko, which are happening nowadays and reaffirming with the dog's unreserved love for his master.
Sarah is the Bulgarian equivalent of Hachiko and an example of pure love and faithfulness. Sarah's story is like a movie ... For several months she lived at the entrance to West Park, she had a landlord who, during his walk in the park, gets sick, an ambulance comes and takes him away, and Sarah is left waiting for him there. Unfortunately, he is not coming back (maybe he died, nobody knows) and she has been there for months. The park security guards take care of her and say that several times a person comes to watch her, but she runs away and returns to the entrance of the park where her best friend - the man. Good people shelter her in the evening and feed her but during the day she is again in the park, waiting.
Since 1995, two people have died in a heavy car crash in Russia. Only the dog survives. For more than a year, he stands and watches the cars to find his owners. But he never finds them.
An incredible story that happened in Wales, when one day Graham Knutle did not return from a day trip with his dog from the mountain. Eleven weeks later, after snowstorms and rains, his body was discovered, and beside him, his loyal dog still kept him.
Omar Eduardo Rivera is a blind man who worked on the 71st floor of the World Trade Center on the tragic date of September 11, 2001. After the first plane hit the tower, he felt that death was imminent, so he let the guide dog escape alone. But the dog stayed beside him and together left the building before it collapsed.
There are certainly many more such untold stories about the love of four-legged animals to us humans. Every day I am amazed at my German Shepherd, who becomes restless when one of my children cries or stands at the front door to protect them when they are alone on the street. Dogs are great friends of many lonely people and faithful helpers in case of trouble. If they could talk, what would they tell us? Maybe they will teach us what true love is.
