How Cara Delevingne, Girl Up Campaign's New Champion, is Empowering Young Women
The Girl Up Campaign is a part of the United Nations Foundation’s effort to promote the health, safety, education, and leadership of girls who live in developing countries. British model and actress, Cara Delevingne, has recently been named a spokesperson for the campaign on October 3. She said in a statement that she is truly honored and excited to be a part of the campaign’s hard work of empowering young women. Cara has released a video announcing the partnership between herself and the Girl Up Campaign. Watch it below:
By becoming a Girl Up Champion, she joins the ranks of many like Priyanka Chopra and Victoria Justice, who are champions of the cause as well. With all their help, the Girl Up Campaign will be able to garner even more global attention and influence many others to get involved as well. Cara will be able to spread the word to her millions of fans through all forms of social media and stress the importance of the empowerment of women.
Cara has since launched the sale of a t-shirt line in partnership with Prinkshop, with all proceeds going towards the Girl Up Campaign. The words on the shirt, “You see a girl, I see the future,” is a fitting way to describe Girl Up’s cause and what Cara stands for. If you would like to buy a t-shirt, click here!
