As day four of Rio Olympics comes to an eventful, heart-pounding close, watchers from all over the world are yearning to see more. Here is some of the fast-paced news to fill you in.

The Canadian swimming duo Roseline Filion and Meghan Benfeito win a victory with bronze, in the 10m platform diving. Go Canada!

World no. 1 tennis player Serena Williams was upset in the third round of the women's tennis tournaments. She lost in single rounds three. Ukraine tennis player Elina Svitolina wins gold over London, and will advance to the quarter finals.

The USA gymnastic girls' win gold in the women's gymnastic category. What a glorious win!

USA Swimmer Michael Phelps also receives his 20th gold in day four's competitions.

Dutch gymnast Yuri van Gelder unfortunately violated both the team's rules and Rio Olympic's guidelines, and was sent home for drinking. Unfortunately, he won't be able to reach his dreams this time.

In the medal count, USA takes the lead, followed by China, which comes closely.
