3 Things Every Woman Needs To Remind Herself

Life is tough on pretty much all of us. We live in an era of wage repression where corporations deliberately keep our wages down to bolster their profit margins, while inflation slowly pushes the cost of living out of our reach, inch by inch. The prospect of raising a child in such a world is an increasingly costly and untenable prospect, given that raising a child to the age of 21 costs almost a quarter of a million dollars. Our population is growing at a rate whereby if we don’t do something soon, we run the risk of depleting our natural resources and turning some of our most wondrous areas of natural beauty into farmland to feed our meat and dairy addiction.

Yup, life’s tough on pretty much everyone… But whatever sociological changes have been wrought by pioneers of social justice… It’s still harder for women. Laboring under the vestiges of patriarchal societies and staring down a gender pay gap that could take centuries to close, women around the world have still yet to achieve the equality they so richly deserve. Moreover, it seems that while our male counterparts are constantly told by their peers, by advertising and by entertainment media what they can be, women are reminded what they should be. In this climate, it’s important that every woman takes some time to remind herself of these things every day...

You are loved

It may not feel like it at times. In fact, there may be some times when you feel like you’re taken for granted, ignored or scorned. But you are loved. God loves you and is proud of everything you’ve done with the natural gifts given to you, and joining a bible study fellowship can show you just how much. Not a person of faith? That’s okay. Even if we don’t factor in the theological, there’s plenty of love for you out there. Even if you’ve yet to meet the right man or woman for you, you’re still loved by your parents, brothers, sisters, extended family and friends. They might not show it as much as they should, but they love you and you help them every days in ways you aren’t even aware of.

You are beautiful

This might be an exceptionally difficult pill to swallow. We’ve been conditioned by society and the media to only appreciate a very specific form of beauty. But whether you conform to this Hollywood approved ideal or not, you are beautiful. You are beautiful, alluring, charming, witty and captivating. You may have a partner who takes you for granted. If so, they need to be reminded of that. You may not have found the love you’re looking for. That’s okay. There’s no such thing as too late. Don’t allow these things to prevent you from feeling as beautiful as you are.

If you’re unhappy with your life, it’s never too late to change it

Now, more than ever, there’s a wealth of opportunity to allow women to learn, better themselves and achieve their dreams. Don’t let your age, your motherhood or your busy schedule hold you back from pursuing a life that brings you joy and a sense of reward. In the digital age, there’s no reason why you can’t enroll in an online HR course or even start your own business from the comfort of your own home.

Nobody ever said life was easy, but remember these 3 things, and you’ll be amazed how much easier it can get.
