Age Is Seriously Just A Number
Age is seriously, seriously, seriously just a number. Yes it might mean you have to take care of your health a little more the higher it is, but that’s almost all. In every other aspect you can become richer. Not only does your career begin to bear its long-term fruit, but hopefully your investments will too. Your children and family grow into wonderful people, and your wisdom grown and learned can afford you a sense of serenity.
It’s important to think like this. But, many people don’t. They see the approach of their 40th, 50th, 60th birthday and think that time is slipping them by, and they are ‘all done.’ This is a ridiculous notion. No matter who you are, you can make the rest of your life the best of your life.
This means thinking in the following ways:
Your dress sense needn’t get older as you do. Of course perhaps the normal trends of the youth today might not look as well placed on you, but there are many trendy and excellent clothes to wear, and no excuse to let go of your appearance. This might seem reasonable, but there’s absolutely no reason to try and forget it. For example, you might not be tearing up the dancefloor as you once did in your youth, but you can still look and feel your best with a little effort.
Wearing clothes that fit you and trends that make sense for your age range can help you feel radiant, nothing less than you deserve to feel. The real secret of clothing is that it’s not for other people you wear it - it’s for yourself. Making the effort to put yourself together isn’t the effort of fishing for compliments or finding a love interest. It’s to feel your best, and to tell yourself that you are always worth the effort. If you’re unsure of where to start, consider this guide on what to wear over 60. In no time at all, you’ll feel as wonderful as you are.
When people retire, it’s very common for them to simply relax. Why not right? They have worked for years and deserve a little piece from there on out. However, this is often not the best or most optimal solution for anyone. With no purpose we can often find ourselves falling into lethargy, and form lethargy into depression. This isn’t a healthy solution for anyone involved, so it’s best to try and stop that from happening. We’d recommend making your hobbies your full-time job, from crafts to art to woodwork. No matter who you are, you can absolutely glean benefit in starting something new. When you have activities like this that sustain you, you’ll notice that age really is just a number. This is because the energy and freshness of your hobby will feel revitalizing, and give you everything to look forward to. Not a bad way to spend your retirement, or any free time you have in general.
With these mindsets of self-care and interest in the world, you become a cared for and interested individual. After all, there are some twenty-five year olds who feel eighty, and some eighty-year-olds that feel twenty-five in their outlook. What matters is how you greet the day.
