What Do You Do To Celebrate Your Love?

Love is a funny thing. It can make you feel ecstatic one moment and as blue as can be the next. Unrequited love is hard to bear, but when you are in a relationship with the one you love it can be a very happy time. It’s certainly something worth celebrating on Valentines or Anniversaries. So what is the best way to celebrate your love with your partner?

Sharing a new experience together is a lovely way to celebrate your love for each other. It doesn’t have to be something as daring as jumping out of a plane. You might try a romantic hot air balloon ride, or maybe some wine tasting at a famous winery. Swimming with dolphins, or even attending your first Opera together could be on the cards too.

Of course, if it is a big event, you might want to buy each other some gifts. If you’re looking for a Valentines gift, then you could find plenty of love-themed hampers and gifts to share with your loved one. The tradition of buying jewelry for your love doesn’t need to be followed if it’s not your thing. Even something as simple as a music album could be a great gift for them. You could go really off the beaten path and get something unusual. If you're living together and have a room you're thinking of sprucing up, I found this for all those romantics out there, a neon sign could really light up a space for both of you to relax in, in a different way.

You may be wary of the message you’re sending out if your relationship is relatively new. We’re not all keen to get into a long-term or fully committed relationship straight away. But if you are feeling the love for someone, it can be nice to use an event like an anniversary or Valentines to take it to the next level. These days, it’s better to talk about your visions for the future with your partner before jumping into things. It helps you both know that you’re on the same path. Then you really have something awesome to celebrate!

Poetry and love songs are definitely reserved for those who believe the one they are with is the one for life. If you feel you are in that place, then there are plenty of great resources to help you get started. Creative writing seems so much easier when you’re feeling the love for someone. Why not listen to your favourite ballads, or check out some Shakespeare sonnets for inspiration?

A true celebration of love doesn’t have to be just about the two of you. If you have a family, why not share the celebration with them? Even extended family can be involved. It doesn’t need to be an engagement party, but just an opportunity to say ‘I love you’ publicly can be enough. How do you like to celebrate your love with your partner?
